The flexible nature of being an animated character means that there are limitless poses and scenarios that he can be put in and unlocked over time.

Character design and animation are core elements to many of our projects, from 2D game-ready sprites to fully rigged 3D complex characters like Milo.

We set ourselves an in-house brief to create an extremely versatile character, capable of expressing a range of dynamic emotions whilst bending, squashing and morphing into a vast range of differing poses. (To simplify thumbs for the purpose of the demo below you can collect a random Milo just by refreshing the page each time)

Milo’s form is fairly simple but we ensured the facial topology followed that of a traditional human model, enabling him to have extreme mouth poses, along with the ability to blink, frown, and express himself however we wish.

As our work process evolves so does our approach to character animation; blending creativity and technology together to create a character that not only looks the part but also feels alive, enriching the storytelling experience for the audience.
